Programs & Memberships
MuscleBabee offers three membership tiers, each built for a different level of commitment and support. Every tier gives you access to a structured program built around your body, your goals, and your pathway — not a generic plan pulled off the internet.
MuscleBabee Complete
Full access to the member portal. When you join at this level you get the workout library, stretch library, nutrition tools, macro tracking, progress tracking, badges, challenges, curriculum modules, and the MuscleBabee Lab — a full education center covering training methods, supplements, and the science behind the program. The GLP-1 Support Program is also included if that applies to your situation. Everything you need to run a real, structured program with built-in accountability. You follow the plan, track your progress, and the system keeps you honest.
Guided
Everything in Complete, plus a closer layer of structured guidance and accountability check-ins. This tier is for members who want more than a self-directed program — you get the full portal plus regular touchpoints to make sure your programming is dialed in and your progress is moving in the right direction. Ideal if you have tried going it alone and want a more defined path forward without stepping into private training.
Private 1-on-1 Training
The highest level of access MuscleBabee offers. Maximum five clients at any time. Sessions are built entirely around you — your body, your history, your goals, and your schedule. Nothing is templated. This is direct, personal coaching from Coach Damon with full attention on your results. Availability is limited and spots do not stay open long. If you are serious about this level of commitment, reach out before the window closes.
Not sure which tier is right for you? The Join page breaks it down and gets you started.
Portal Training — October
October's theme is Strength Foundation. After a summer of mixed training, travel, and inconsistency for a lot of people, October is the month to get back to the basics that actually build results.
Your training schedule inside the portal is built around your program. When you log in, the Training section shows your active program, today's workout, your weekly schedule, and your training history — all based on the program you are enrolled in, not a generic calendar.
Here is what is available inside the portal right now:
- Today's Workout — your scheduled session for the day, ready to start
- Weekly Schedule — your full week laid out by day, with workout names and estimated duration
- Training Calendar — a full calendar view of scheduled, completed, and missed sessions
- Recurring Schedule — set your preferred training days and times so your schedule builds itself
- Workout History — every session you have logged, with performance data over time
- Workout Library — 52 exercises, build-your-own workouts, AI-assisted programming, and multi-day progressive overload plans
- Readiness Check — a pre-workout assessment that adjusts your session based on how you feel that day
Members — your training schedule is personal to you. Log in, check your program, and follow the plan that was built for your pathway.
Have questions about your training? [Email Coach Damon directly](mailto:damonmcdonald30@yahoo.com?subject=Member Training Question) — no forms, no waiting, just a straight answer.
Not a member yet? Join MuscleBabee Complete and get instant access to the full training system, workout library, nutrition tools, and everything else inside the portal for $99/month.
What this means for your training:
- Pick one compound movement per session as your anchor — squat, hinge, press, or row — and build everything else around it
- Prioritize consistency over intensity this month. Four solid sessions per week beats two brutal ones every time
- If you are not tracking progressive overload, start this week. Look at what you were lifting in July — if the weight, reps, and rest periods have not changed, something needs to change
A note on progressive overload: It is not optional. It is the mechanism. The portal tracks it for you — use it.
Nutrition — October Focus
Training is the stimulus. Nutrition is the recovery. You cannot out-train a bad diet, and you cannot out-eat a bad training program. Both have to work together.
Here is what to focus on this month:
Protein First
Every meal should start with a protein source. Aim for 0.7 to 1 gram of protein per pound of bodyweight per day. For most adults 50+, that means somewhere between 120 and 180 grams depending on your size and goals. If you are not hitting that number, your recovery is suffering whether you feel it or not.
Good sources: chicken breast, salmon, lean ground beef, eggs, Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, whey protein, edamame.
Carbohydrates Are Not the Enemy
Carbs fuel your training. The problem is not carbs — it is the wrong carbs at the wrong time. Prioritize complex carbohydrates around your training window: oats, brown rice, quinoa, sweet potatoes, fruit. Minimize processed carbs and added sugars outside of that window.
Hydration
Most people are chronically underhydrated and do not know it. Fatigue, poor recovery, brain fog, and reduced strength output are all symptoms of dehydration. Aim for at least half your bodyweight in ounces of water per day. If you are training hard, add 16 to 24 ounces on top of that.
The 80/20 Rule
Eat clean 80 percent of the time. Give yourself room to live the other 20 percent. Perfection is not the goal — consistency is. A sustainable nutrition plan you follow most of the time beats a perfect plan you abandon after two weeks every single time.
Meal Timing
If you are training in the morning, eat something with protein and carbs within 30 to 60 minutes after your session. If you are training in the evening, make sure your pre-workout meal is not too heavy — you want fuel, not a full stomach. Post-workout, prioritize protein and a moderate amount of carbs to kickstart recovery.
Exercise of the Month: The Romanian Deadlift
Why we love it: The Romanian deadlift is one of the most effective posterior chain exercises you can do. It builds hamstring and glute strength, improves hip hinge mechanics, and carries over directly to everyday movement — picking things up, climbing stairs, getting out of a chair. For adults 50+, this movement is a game changer.
How to do it:
- Stand with feet hip-width apart, holding a dumbbell in each hand (or a barbell) in front of your thighs.
- Brace your core, pull your shoulders back, and maintain a neutral spine throughout the movement.
- Hinge at the hips — push them back as if you are trying to touch the wall behind you — while lowering the weights along your legs.
- Lower until you feel a deep stretch in your hamstrings (typically just below the knee for most people).
- Drive your hips forward to return to standing. Squeeze your glutes at the top.
Sets & Reps: 3–4 sets of 8–12 reps. Rest 60–90 seconds between sets.
Modifications:
- Use lighter dumbbells or a resistance band if you are new to the movement.
- Reduce range of motion if you have lower back sensitivity — go only as far as you can maintain a flat back.
- Perform single-leg if you want to increase the challenge and address any left-right imbalances.
Common mistakes to avoid:
- Rounding the lower back — keep your spine neutral the entire time
- Bending the knees too much — this is a hip hinge, not a squat
- Letting the weights drift away from your body — keep them close to your legs throughout
Coach's note: The Romanian deadlift is a feel movement. You have to learn to feel the hamstring stretch and use it as your depth guide. Start light, focus on the hinge pattern, and add weight once the mechanics are solid.
Recipe of the Month: 20-Minute Turkey and Sweet Potato Power Bowl
This meal is built for recovery. High protein, complex carbs, healthy fats, and anti-inflammatory ingredients — everything your body needs after a hard training session.
Serves: 2
Prep time: 5 minutes
Cook time: 15 minutes
Ingredients
For the turkey:
- 1 lb lean ground turkey (93/7)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- Salt and black pepper to taste
For the bowl:
- 1 medium sweet potato, cubed and microwaved (about 6 minutes until tender)
- 2 cups baby spinach or kale
- 1/2 cup black beans, rinsed and drained
- 1/4 avocado, sliced
- 2 tablespoons salsa or pico de gallo
- Fresh lime wedges for serving
Instructions
- Cook the sweet potato. Cube the sweet potato, place in a microwave-safe bowl with a splash of water, cover, and microwave 5–6 minutes until fork-tender.
- Brown the turkey. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground turkey and break it apart. Season with garlic powder, paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper. Cook 7–8 minutes until cooked through and lightly browned.
- Warm the beans. Add black beans to the skillet with the turkey for the last 2 minutes to warm through.
- Build the bowl. Add spinach or kale to each bowl. Top with sweet potato, turkey and bean mixture, avocado, and salsa.
- Finish and serve. Squeeze fresh lime over the top and serve immediately.
Macros (approximate per serving): 520 calories | 48g protein | 42g carbs | 14g fat
Coach's note: This bowl works as a post-workout meal or a solid dinner on any training day. Prep the sweet potato and turkey in bulk on Sunday and you have two to three days of easy meals ready to go. Meal prep is not complicated — it is just cooking ahead.
Final Word
October is the month where the serious people separate themselves from everyone else. The summer is over. The excuses are gone. You have a clear runway between now and the holidays to make real progress — but only if you use it.
Members — your October training schedule is live and ready. Log in to the portal, check your week, and get to work.
